Transcript/Student Records

The Office of Admissions and Records maintains the official academic records of all students. The official transcript includes the complete academic record of courses taken at all NMC campus locations (Saipan, Tinian, and Rota). It contains the signature of the Registrar and the official seal of Northern Marianas College. A student with financial obligations to the College that are due and unpaid will not be granted a transcript until all obligations have been settled. Official transcripts require three to five working days for preparation. In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, transcripts cannot be released to any third party without the written consent of the student.

Request for Transcript Instructions

Students may request official transcripts of their academic record at Northern Marianas College by submitting a signed Transcript Request Form to the Office of Admissions and Records, indicating the number of transcripts requested and the designated recipient(s). Official transcripts can be picked up in-person at the Office of Admissions & Records or can be mailed directly to the recipient. Please allow at least five (5) business days for processing.

When sending a request by mail, students must send a request to:

  2. Students may fax a request to (670) 235-4967

All requests should include:

  1. Student’s signature (required to release transcript)
  2. Full name and any other names used
  3. Social Security Number or Student Identification Number
  4. Date of birth
  5. Approximate dates of attendance
  6. Indicate if you would like transcripts held for current grades, recording of degree, or grade changes.
  7. Address(es) to which transcripts are to be sent
  8. Daytime phone number
  9. Payment

Transcript Cost

  1. Standard - $5.00 for the first copy $2.00 for additional copy requested at the same time (transcripts are mailed in 3 - 5 business days).
  2. Rush - $20 per copy (transcripts are mailed in one business day).

Notes:

  • Transcripts will not be printed before payment is received.
  • Transcripts will not be printed if there are holds on the students’ accounts.
  • These holds must be cleared by the appropriate office.
  • Transcripts may be purchased using personal check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, or cash (Please do not mail cash).
  • If you choose to pay by credit card, include the card number, expiration date, and three digit security code on the back of the card.
  • If students wish to pay by credit card over the phone, they may contact the Finance Office at (670) 237-6818.
  • Photo identification is required when picking up transcripts in person.
