Application for Admission

Applications for Admission forms are available for any potential candidates in April of each academic year. Admission into the program is only during fall semester. Forms may be picked up in the Nursing Department located in Building C. or download from the NMC website for Nursing Department. Applications will be accepted only in spring semester between April 20th and May 20th.

The process of selection of students will be based on the following criteria:

  • A cumulative grade point average of “2.50” or higher.
  • Completion of all nursing and general education prerequisites with a grade of “C” or better.
  • Ability to understand, speak and write English.
  • Pass the pre-admission in-person interview.
  • Have sufficient faculty to teach the classes.

Nursing prerequisite Courses

In order to be accepted into the Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree program, all prenursing students must have successfully completed: BI 101, CH 124, EN 101, BE 111, MA 132, BI 225, BI 251, BI 252, PY 101, PY 201, and HE 230.

No science courses will be accepted in transfer from other colleges or universities that are older than 5 years and/or for which the student received less than a “C” grade.
