NMC’s ABE Program hosts Personal Development Training (May 27, 2013)

The Northern Marianas College Adult Basic Education Program (ABE) is inviting all General Educational Development (GED) and Adult School graduates, current ABE students, and those who have been enrolled in the ABE program to register for the Personal Development Training taking place the College’s As Terlaje campus in Room D-1 on June 1, 2013.

The training will focus on providing participants with the following skills:

· Resiliency skills, which will help participants acquire social proficiency and increase academic competency, cultivate critical thinking and help develop future framing tips,

· College readiness skills, which will help participants formulate reachable short and long-term goals and motivate confidence when dealing with adversity,

· Employability skills, which will show and familiarize participants with proper workplace etiquette and to be able to analyze situations as well as reason those situations in an effective manner

Those interested in signing up for the training may fill out registration forms found at the ABE office at NMC’s Building T. Participants may also register on the day training, but it is on a first-come, first-served basis as space is limited. Training will start at 9:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. All participants will receive a certificate of completion of the training. In addition, lunch will be provided to participants.
