There’s Still Time to Register for NMC’s Fall 2013 Semester (September 9, 2013)

There’s still time to register for Fall 2013 classes that begin September 16-21 at the Northern Marianas College. Registration is open to both ongoing and new students until the last day on Thursday, September 12, 2013.

Students can register for the following courses that begin September 16-21:

  • Beginning Algebra
  • Beginning English: Reading & Writing
  • Database Applications I
  • Desktop Publishing
  • Education for Parenthood
  • English Composition I
  • English Composition II
  • Fundamentals of Speech Communication
  • Guiding & Nurturing Young Children
  • Integrated Science & Math for Young Children
  • Intro. to Computers
  • Intro. to Literature
  • Medical Implications of SPED
  • Nutrition and Health
  • Reading & Vocab. Development II
  • Speaking & Listening Development I
  • Speaking & Listening Development II
  • Spreadsheet Applications
  • Walk/Jog/Run
  • Writing & Grammar Study II

New students may also begin registering for courses after submitting a completed admission application form and their English and math placement test results by Thursday, September 12, 2013 to the Office of Admissions and Records in Building N. For more information about placement tests, contact the Testing Center at 237-6774 or email [email protected].

After taking the placement tests, students can meet with their academic advisors, who will assist students complete registration forms and create class schedules. Note the following important dates below:

Fall 2013 Important Dates (for classes that begin Sept. 16)

September 10-12 Registration for Classes that Begin Sept. 16
9am - 4pm
September 10-12 English and Math Placement Test
9am & 1pm
Testing Center (Building I)
September 12 Last Day to Submit Admission Application & Placement Test Results (for students who have not applied)
September 16-21 First Week of Instruction
September 23-25 Add/Drop Course(s) Days for 100% Refund
