The Northern Marianas College will be hosting a free “Cash for College” workshop that is aimed at assisting students and their parents in maximizing scholarship opportunities that are available to students seeking to obtain a college education.

The free workshop will be held this Saturday, June 3, 2016 at NMC’s Rota campus from 9:00am to 12:00pm and at NMC’s Tinian campus from 10:00am to 2:00pm. The workshop will be an ongoing session.

Participants will be provided with personal, step-by-step assistance in completing college financial aid forms, focusing especially on forms for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, the Rota Municipal Scholarship for the island of Rota, Tinian Municipal Scholarship for the island of Tinian and the CNMI Scholarship.

Staff members from the college’s Office of Admissions and Records will also be present to provide information and assistance with the NMC application process.

In addition, those who participate in the workshop will qualify to have their NMC application fee and placement test fees waived for the upcoming Spring 2017 semester. This waiver represents a savings of up to $75.
