NMC Nursing Club Health Fair this Saturday, March 11 (March 10, 2017)

Start your way to a healthier lifestyle by attending tomorrow’s Health Fair organized by Northern Marianas College’s Nursing Club. The Health Fair will be held Saturday, March 11, 2017, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon at the multi-purpose center in Susupe.

Fair activities will also feature a 5k Walk starting at 6 a.m. The first 10 participants who finish the 5k Walk will also receive t-shirt prizes. Entrance to the Health Fair and the 5k Walk is free.

Those who attend the Health Fair can also take advantage of free health services including free flu immunizations, screenings for blood pressure and blood glucose levels, as well as free HIV and STD testing and counseling.

The CHCC Immunization Program, Maternal Child Health Bureau, Marianas Health Services, the Division of Youth Services, and the Commonwealth Cancer Association will be joining other organizations who will be hosting information and demonstration booths. There will also be presentations from organizations like 500 Sails/ Dolphin Swim Club and a Zumba class by Uncle Ben’s Dance Studio.

Participants will also have a chance to win raffle prizes from The Shack, Coca-Cola, Subway, Hyatt Regency Saipan, Pacific Islands Club, and other prizes from other companies in the community. Funds raised will be donated to the NMC’s Nursing Club to purchase lancets and other supplies used for community service projects.

The Health Fair is supported with the assistance from the CNMI Area Health Education Center and other NMC and community volunteers.
