Power 99 Signs on as Sponsor for NMC Foundation Golf Tournament (February 7, 2018)

Power 99 recently donated over $5,000 in radio advertisements to Northern Marianas College in support of the annual NMC Foundation Golf Tournament that will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018.

To help promote the Northern Marianas College Foundation’s upcoming Golf Tournament, Power 99 recently donated more than $5,000 in radio advertisements to market the event.

The 15th Annual NMC Foundation Open golf tournament is scheduled for Saturday, March 3, 2018.The event will be the first major golf tournament of the year.

“Power 99 has always been a staunch supporter of NMC Foundation and its goal of expanding educational opportunities in the Northern Marianas,” said James Nelson, General Manager Power 99. “We are happy to be part of this year’s tournament as we have been for the past several years.” “The success of the NMC Foundation Golf Tournament for the past 15 year has largely been due to the generosity of companies like Power 99,” said NMC President Dr. Carmen Fernandez.

The golf tournament is the NMC Foundation’s signature event that raises funds to support NMC’s academic programs and services. “We are always excited to collaborate with Power 99 in our promotional efforts for the Golf Tournament,” said Mary Tenorio, NMC Foundation board chair. “Thank you, Power 99, for your continued support.”

The 15th Annual NMC Foundation Open golf tournament will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at the Saipan LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort (West Course). Showtime is at 6 a.m. and the shotgun start will be at 7 a.m. The tournament will follow a medal play format.

First place winners in the men’s Championship, A, B, C, Senior, and Ladies Flights will each receive $500, while $300 and $200 will go to the second and third place finishers, respectively. Hole-in-one prizes include a 2017 Toyota Tacoma from Atkins Kroll Saipan, a 2017 Honda HR-V from Joeten Motors, $10,000 in cash from Marianas Insurance Company, and $5,000 in cash from Pacifica Insurance. The tournament will also feature many other items such as raffle prizes like smartphones, hotel stays, meal gift certificates, and much more.
