NMC Alumni Association Hosts Mixer on September 1, 2018 (August 29, 2018)

Graduates of Northern Marianas College are being invited to a social mixer, hosted by the NMC Alumni Association, that will feature networking opportunities, fun activities, and entertainment.

The mixer will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at Joe's Bar and Grill from 6:00pm to 10:00pm.

The event will also include a drink special for the evening, a free raffle ticket, one free chaser while supplies last, prizes for raffle, and open karaoke. All participants must be 21 and over to attend and admission tickets are twenty dollars. The NMC Alumni mixer is also not exclusive to graduates only. NMC Alumni are encouraged to purchase tickets for additional guests he or she would like to bring to the event. Because space is limited, the NMC Alumni Association is encouraging participants to purchase their tickets as soon as possible.

Alumni who participate in the mixer will receive a free one-year membership into the Association, an alumni ID card, a fifteen percent discount on all items at the NMC Bookstore, and a discounted price on admissions to all upcoming NMC Alumni events. Additionally, participants will also be entitled to one free official transcript throughout the duration of their one-year membership.

The annual membership fee into the NMC Alumni Association is $10.

Tickets, which are $20 each, can be purchased at the NMC cashier window at the As Terlaje campus on Saipan. The cashier window is open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm.

“The Association is still fairly new so we are looking forward creating this community for our alumni,” said committee member Christina Cruz. “This is the first of many events we want to host to gain awareness of the Association and recruit more members.”

“The overarching goal of the Association is to build a strong relationship between the College and its alumni,” said NMC Alumni Association Chairperson Jack Kiyoshi. “ We hope to build a community where we are bridging intending NMC graduates with alumni who are looking to hire in order to strengthen the CNMI workforce.”

The NMC Alumni Association is a committee of individuals dedicated to expanding the alumni network and relationships for Northern Marianas College. It coordinates with alumni, employees, and friends to present programs while inspiring financial support. The Association aims to connect alumni with both private and public organizations to promote the College’s values of a strong and prosperous workforce in the CNMI and abroad.
