In its longstanding efforts to support local, higher education in the CNMI, Bank of Guam has graciously made a $5,000.00 monetary donation to the Northern Marianas College Foundation.

The donation is part of the 16th Annual NMC Foundation Open Golf Tournament scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2020. The bank’s contribution to the event will go towards helping the college with its recovery efforts due to the devastating destruction of Super Typhoon Yutu, which destroyed more than 80% of NMC’s campus grounds and classroom facilities.

“Bank of Guam is proud to support the college’s mission and vision statements through its commitment to its students and be the driving force to improve the quality of life through higher education,” said Marcie Tomokane, vice president/CNMI regional manager. “Investing in our local college not only strengthens the growth of our people and the economy, it paves the way for a better learning environment for our future generations.”

NMC Interim President Frankie Eliptico is grateful for the support that Bank of Guam has given to the college.

“Our NMC family would like to thank Bank of Guam for their dedication to funding higher education,” said Eliptico.
