NMC Community:

The Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation has announced that Covid-19 vaccine booster shots are available. Please see the attached press releases from CHCC for more information.

The booster shot will be available to the following individuals who have received their first series (first AND second doses) of the Covid-19 vaccine no less than six months ago and are:

  • 65 years and older, or
  • 18 years and older who have underlying medical conditions, or
  • 18 years and older who work or live in high-risk settings

As working/interacting in an education environment can be considered a high-risk setting, NMC employees and students are encouraged to get the booster vaccine.

A booster dose can be obtained by visiting a CHCC Covid-19 mass vaccination site (Multi Purpose Center, Tinian Health Center, Rota Health Center), and asking for a booster dose of either the Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson vaccines. There is no need to register online.

As per CHCC’s instructions, consent forms must be completed by patients requesting for a booster shot. The forms will be filled out at the vaccination site.

Documents to bring are:

  • Valid ID (Driver’s License, Passport)
  • Covid-19 Vaccination Card

More information about the booster doses can be obtained by contacting the CHCC call center at (670) 682-SHOT (7568) or by visiting https://www.vaccinatecnmi.com/covid-19/faqs/
