McDONALD’S continues to show its support to the CNMI’s only college by donating $5,000 Monday to  Northern Marianas College’s fundraising golf tournament.

NMC President Galvin Deleon Guerrero, EdD, along with college students and other representatives accepted the generous gift from McDonald’s of Saipan and Guam vice president and owner/operator Marcia Ayuyu and executive assistant to the president Mable A. Glenn at McDonald’s main office.

“The hole-in-one prize donated by McDonald’s helps to fuel the excitement for the event,” said Deleon Guerrero. “NMC thanks McDonald’s for their continued support.”

McDonald has been a supporter of the annual NMC event since 2010.

“It was during an NMC golf tournament when someone actually won a hole-in-one prize sponsored by McDonald’s,” Mable Ayuyu said.

“We are always there to support NMC whether it’s golf or any other event. Any time NMC reaches out to us, our assistance always goes beyond their events,” she added.

The NMC Golf Open will be held on Saturday, March 19, on the East Course of LaoLao Bay Golf and Resort. Showtime is at 6 a.m., and  shotgun will start at 7 a.m. The tournament will follow a medal play format.
