NORTHERN Marianas College and the Department of Finance on Friday signed a memorandum of agreement formalizing a partnership in administering a customs and quarantine academy.

Northern Marianas College interim president Frankie Eliptico updated business leaders on the college’s recent activities, programs and building construction plans during the Saipan Chamber of Commerce general membership meeting Wednesday at the Hyatt Regency Saipan Ballroom.

Starting in the fall of 2021, which is in August, more than 70% of the Northern Marianas College’s classes will already be face-to-face, but interim president Frankie Eliptico acknowledged yesterday that NMC will no longer attain 100% of that format.

The Commonwealth Health Center Corporation will be administering vaccines to individuals who received their first dose of the vaccine this Saturday, May 29, 2021 from 8am to 12pm at Northern Marianas College on Saipan.

On Friday, Northern Marianas College conferred over 400 college degrees. The commencement ceremony combined the Class of 2020 and Class of 2021 because last year’s ceremony was canceled due to the pandemic.

The Northern Marianas College handed out over 400 college degrees and honored over 400 graduates for both Class of 2020 and Class of 2021 in a commencement ceremony last Friday that was split into three separate venues and streamed live over the internet to comply with social distancing measures.
