The Consumer Advisory Committee of the CNMI University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities at the Northern Marianas College successfully conducted its first meeting of the year on January 29, 2021 via Zoom.
Three program leaders from the Northern Marianas College’s Cooperative Research, Extension, and Education Services were recently accepted into the LEAD21 – Leadership Development for the 21st Century: Linking Research, Academics, and Extension program. They competed with applicants from across the land-grant university system for a seat in the upcoming cohort.
The Northern Marianas College has been awarded a $13.2-million grant by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration to develop the colleges’ Cooperative Research, Extension, and Education Services program further and its role in supporting regional economic development.

NORTHERN Marianas College, through its Cooperative Research and Extension Education Services, is working with the Tinian Mayor’s Office and the Tinian Legislative Delegation through the office of Senate President Jude U. Hofschneider in developing a cattle industry there.
