As part of its efforts to build entrepreneurial capacity among women in the CNMI, the CNMI Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the CNMI Womens’ Association recently partnered to provide a five-week training course to 20 women entrepreneurs. 

More small business owners in the CNMI are now knowledgeable about securing federal contracts thanks to a HUBZone certification training course conducted by the CNMI Small Business Development Center at the Northern Marianas College.

Cosmo Lounge is the latest company to sign on as a Northern Marianas College ProaPerks Partner, joining many other businesses and organizations. All card-carrying members of the NMC ProaPerks program can now receive $1.00 off the admission fee and a complimentary beverage.

For fiscal year 2021, Northern Marianas College has received – for the 15th consecutive year – a favorable or unqualified audit opinion on its financial statements. 

Individuals who participate in Northern Marianas College’s upcoming info session on Friday, July 15, 2022 will qualify to have their NMC Fall 2022 admission application fee and placement test fees waived. The waiver represents a savings of up to $75.

Northern Marianas College’s Staff Senate named three employees as “Staff of the Quarter” awardees as part of its efforts to recognize and acknowledge staff members’ hard work and commitment to students. The three individuals are Financial Aid Specialist Roy Alegre, Project PROA counselor Malyssa “Maly” Castro, and Office of Student and Leadership Activities program coordinator Maia Pangelinan.
