The latest news from Northern Marianas College

As part of its mission to support workforce development in the CNMI, the Tan Siu Lin Foundation recently donated $2,000 to the Northern Marianas College.

The donation was made in support of the Foundation’s 16th Annual NMC Foundation Golf Tournament which was held last week on March 20, 2021, on LaoLao Bay Golf and Resort’s East Course.

“We support the College in its efforts to enhance its programs and services for students who are working to improve their lives through education,” said Jerry Tan, CEO for TanHoldings. “We are proud to assist them in their efforts.”

“The success of the NMC’s golf tournaments, including this year’s, is largely due to the generosity and involvement of organizations like Tan Siu Lin Foundation and the Tan Holdings Company,” said NMC Interim President Frankie Eliptico. “We are grateful for the company’s involvement again this year.”

The NMC Foundation 16th annual open golf tournament featured hole-in-one prizes from McDonald’s of Saipan, Pacifica Insurance, Joeten Motors, and Triple J Motors. Major sponsors for this year’s tournament include Bank of Guam, Blackwood Furniture, Dial Rent-to-Own, Express Financial, IT&E, Island Training Solutions, J.C.T Enterprises, Inc., KZMI FM, LaoLao Bay Golf and Resort, Marianas Geotech Services, Marianas Insurance Company, Power 99, Saipan Computer Services, and T Galleria.

The College is asking companies, organizations, or individuals who are interested in donating cash or education tax credit to help support the CNMI’s post secondary institution. For more information on how to become a sponsor, please call 237-6780.
