A recently published, Saipan-based study titled “Green Roof: Monitoring Soil Moisture, Plant Health, and Stormwater Management” was conducted and curated by Northern Marianas College’s NextGen Scholars Ejay Aguirre and Cloie Seo.

Northern Marianas College alumni Keane T. Palacios has gone from achieving an associate degree at home to playing a vital role in protecting our Commonwealth’s borders.

69 students from the Northern Marianas College pledged to distinguish themselves through academic excellence by contributing to the community and the Commonwealth through various community service and leadership activities as new members and officers of the Beta Lambda Psi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa or PTK International Honor Society.

As part of the Northern Marianas College Cooperative Research, Extension, and Education Services’ (NMC-CREES) continuous efforts to expand its research and extension work, the College has brought on Dr. Md. Abdur Rashid Mia, whose expertise in biochemistry, molecular biology, and pharmaceutical technology brings a fresh perspective and is anticipated to contribute significantly to the program’s development and to the development of the CNMI Green Growth Initiative’s Regenerative Development Green Economy.

Dr. Galvin Deleon Guerrero, President of Northern Marianas College (NMC), was recently appointed to the Asian Pacific Americans in Higher Education (APAHE) Board of Directors, a national organization dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities.

In celebration of Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions (AANAPISI) Week, Northern Marianas College’s (NMC) Project PROA is excited to announce the 2nd annual Pacific Islander Cultural Night, taking place on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the NMC Building V Parking Lot. This event is free and open to the public.
