Northern Marianas College 2018 nursing graduate Ernest Javier has joined the long list of NMC students who have passed the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses or NCLEX-RN.

Earlier this summer, NMC Project PROA sent 27 Proa Pathway scholars to attend the 3rd Annual Summer Research Academy (SRA). The SRA was held at the Smith Memorial Student Union Ballroom at Portland State University (PSU) in Portland, Oregon from June 17-21, 2024. The Center for Internship, Mentoring, and Research (CIMR) and the Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HECC) sponsored the event. This marks the second year that Project PROA and CIMR teams met in person since the Northern Marianas College (NMC) was awarded the Asian American Native American Pacific Islander-Serving (AANAPISI) cooperative grant, or Proa Pathway Partnership, back in October 2022. 

Northern Marianas College would like to remind and invite all community members looking to further their education to attend NMC’s free information session regarding the upcoming Spring 2025 semester on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

Due to the current and forecasted weather conditions for the evening and throughout the night, and out of an abundance of caution, Acting NMC President Frankie M. Eliptico has announced the closure of NMC campus as of 4:00 pm this afternoon. Further, all on-campus classes and activities after 4:00 pm are canceled. All staff and faculty should take this time to ensure the security and maintenance of classrooms, equipment, offices, and facilities.

Community members interested in pursuing higher education are invited to attend Northern Marianas College’s free information session regarding the upcoming Spring 2025 semester on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.
