NORTHERN Marianas College announced that Nadine Deleon Guerrero has been named as network director of the CNMI Small Business Development Center. Formerly the chairperson of the CNMI Cannabis Commission Board, Deleon Guerrero joins the NMC family with more than 22 years of experience in the public and private sectors.

Professional Development

Northern Marianas College employees will be participating in professional development activities on Thursday, August 4, and Friday, August 5, 2022. To maximize employee participation, NMC offices will be closed on these days. The college will resume normal business hours on Monday, August 8, 2021.

Korea House Restaurant is the latest company to sign on as a Northern Marianas College ProaPerks Partner, joining many other businesses and organizations. All card-carrying members of the NMC ProaPerks program can now receive a 5% discount in addition to the 20% local discount (excludes items on the premium menu).

18 high school students from the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), Guam, the Republic of Palau, and the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) spent the last week on Saipan taking college-level courses in debate and environmental justice at Northern Marianas College (NMC) as part of the Junior State of America’s (JSA) inaugural Civics Institute Micronesia. 

As part of its efforts to build entrepreneurial capacity among women in the CNMI, the CNMI Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the CNMI Womens’ Association recently partnered to provide a five-week training course to 20 women entrepreneurs.
