A total of 49 youth campers on Rota had the opportunity to experience an abundance of educational activities – ranging from environmental presentations to cultural enrichment activities – through the 4-H Marianas’ annual Camp Maga’lahi.

During the summer, a pre-engineering student from Northern Marianas College gained valuable firsthand experience in the realms of construction and planning through an internship with the CNMI Department of Public Works.

Northern Marianas College associate professors William Fife and Beylul Solomon will be presenting their recent University of Southern California (USC) law journal publication, “Indigenous Rights: A Pathway to End American Second-Class Citizenship” at the upcoming Marianas History Conference, September 1-3, 2023, in Saipan.

As part of the ongoing efforts to intertwine the development of the local workforce with the preservation of the Commonwealth’s cultural heritage, the Northern Marianas College’s Community Development Institute is collaborating with 500 Sails to offer multiple opportunities for cultural maritime education.

Mercilynn Kaneshi-Palec, Associate Network Director for the CNMI Small Business Development Center at the Northern Marianas College, was recently named a 2023 “State Star” for her outstanding contributions to the local CNMI SBDC Network.
