Stay Safe. Stay Calm. Sail On, Proas.
COVID Update

The Governor’s COVID-19 Task Force and the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation, in partnership with the Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services, will be conducting free COVID-19 antigen drive-thru testing for community members on Saipan starting Monday, Dec. 13, 2021. Testing will be conducted via drive-thru only, and walk-ups will not be accepted. Testing timeframe is subject to the availability of testing supplies.

COVID Update

Earlier today, Governor Ralph Dlg. Torres announced some temporary COVID-19-related restrictions and the closure of non-essential government offices, all as part of our shared efforts to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19 throughout our community. (Please refer to the attached copy of Governor Torres’s letter for more information.)

Please note that during this time, Northern Marianas College facilities will remain open, with continued flexibility for teleworking and online learning.

COVID Update

Due to the continual increase of COVID-19 cases in our community, supervisors are still authorized to allow employees to telework and/or instructors whose courses are face-to-face or have face-to-face components to continue virtual/online learning through December 17.

Note that employees must secure approval from their respective supervisors in order to telework or continue with virtual/online learning, and students must await official notification from their instructors about any continuation of virtual/online learning.

The college has recently received notification that an NMC student has tested positive for the Covid-19 virus. Contact tracing activities are being conducted to determine the extent of the outbreak. Other safety protocols are being carried out by our Facilities team and other departments at the College.
