Students may enter individually or as a team to create a healthy recipe featuring a local fruit or vegetable for a chance to win exciting prizes. In addition, recipes should include protein and carbohydrate components, no more than 5 ingredients (excluding spices), and no MSG. Interested participants should submit their entries through this Google form: All entries must be submitted by Wednesday, April 26, 2023.

Parents, guardians, and teachers are invited to encourage their students to participate in this exciting opportunity to have fun while practicing various cooking skills, learning about local produce, and making smart food choices.

The Junior Healthy Cooking Competition is one of several community activities by the Let’s Move Marianas Initiative Committee comprised of partner organizations which include the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation (CHCC), CNMI Public School System (PSS), Northern Marianas College Cooperative, Research, Extension, and Education Services (NMC CREES), Northern Marianas Technical Institute (NMTECH), Pacific Youth Ambassadors (PYA), and Pacific Islands Nutrition in Action (PINA).
