The latest news from Northern Marianas College
NMC employees were hard at work repainting the medians located at Chalan Monsignor Guerrero. The College recently partnered with the CNMI Governor's Council of Economic Advisers to take part in their Marianas Village Pride ‘Adopt-A-Median’ campaign.

Partners and volunteers of The Governor’s Council of Economic Advisers-Public Private Partnership program started the year by completing three community improvement projects. Northern Marianas Sports Association, Shirley’s Football Club/Shirley’s Coffee Shop, and Northern Marianas College completed adopt-a-median projects in high-traffic intersections on Saipan. The organizations gave streets, medians, curbs, and barriers much-needed facelifts and helped  improve the safety and visibility of the medians and curbs for motorists and pedestrians.

Islander Rent A Car is now a proud NMC ProaPerks partner. More information about their special promotion for ProaPerks card holders can be found at marianas.edu/proaperks.

Islander Rent A Car is the latest company to sign on as a Northern Marianas College ProaPerks Partner, joining many other businesses and organizations. All card-carrying members of the NMC ProaPerks program can now receive a 30% discount on daily regular rates on all vehicles except trucks (valid only on Saipan).

COVID Update

The safety of the residents of the CNMI remains the top priority of the Governor’s COVID-19 Task Force and the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation. With approximately 96.7% of the CNMI’s eligible population fully vaccinated, combined with the expansion of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine booster shot eligibility to 12- to 17-year-olds, the Governor’s COVID-19 Task Force and the CHCC is updating its quarantine protocols in accordance with U.S. Centers for Disease and Control’s guidance.
