Northern Marianas College nursing program alumni Merly-Ann Fernandez and Carl Pagcaliwagan recently joined the list of students who have passed the challenging National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses or NCLEX-RN. Fernandez and Pagcaliwagan graduated from NMC in 2021.

Ten graduates from the University of Guam’s Criminal Justice bachelors program hosted through Northern Marianas College received their Latin honor designations at a ceremony on Friday, April 12.

Ten graduates from the University of Guam’s Criminal Justice bachelors program hosted through Northern Marianas College received their Latin honor designations at a ceremony on Friday, April 22. Leaders from University of Guam and Northern Marianas College personally awarded the designation. 

Java Joe’s is the latest company to sign on as a Northern Marianas College ProaPerks Partner, joining many other businesses and organizations. All card-carrying members of the NMC ProaPerks program can now receive a 10% discount on all food and beverages.

NMC’s Staff Senate Recognizes Outstanding Employees

Northern Marianas College’s Staff Senate awarded three employees as “Staff of the Quarter” as part of the College’s efforts to recognize its hardworking and committed staff members. The three are Facilities and Admin Services administrative manager Shirley Blas, Office of Admissions and Records administrative manager Kenneth Gabrido and NMC Foundation coordinator Carla Sablan. Each of them will receive a prize and a reserved parking space for the quarter.

US Department of Interior – Office of Insular Affairs director Nik Pula (center) recently met with Northern Marianas College Board of Regents and staff to discuss the college’s rebuilding efforts and other recent institutional developments.
