Students who are interested in pursuing a career in nursing can apply to become part of the Northern Marianas College Nursing Department’s newest cohort in the Fall 2024 semester. Those who meet the program’s requirements can submit their application beginning Monday, April 22 to Wednesday, May 22, 2024.

Qualified Northern Marianas College students who are looking to access financial aid can receive up to $3,697 in Pell grants for NMC’s Summer 2024 Semester if they submit the 2023-2024 Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) and the supporting documents before June 1, 2024. 

Northern Marianas College is inviting new and current students to enroll in its upcoming summer semester so they can earn additional credits toward their degree and accelerate their path to graduation. The summer session includes business, education, math, nursing, and science courses.

Northern Marianas College pre-engineering student Ejay Aguirre has been recently named as a 2024 New Century Transfer Pathway Scholar by the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and will receive a $2,250 scholarship. Aguirre’s selection was based on the score he earned in the All-USA Academic Team competition, for which more than 2,200 applications were received this year. 

The week of March 25-29, 2024, marks National Area Health Education Center (AHEC) week, during which Northern Marianas College will highlight its AHEC scholars. These scholars are currently pursuing studies to become registered nurses, aiming to bolster the local healthcare workforce and contribute to the community of CNMI.
