As part of its continuing efforts to expand entrepreneurial capacity in the CNMI, the CNMI Small Business Development Center Network at the Northern Marianas College has provided one-on-one consulting, training, and information resources to over 500 clients looking to initiate a business venture or enhance their existing endeavors.

SAIPAN and Northern Islands Municipal Council Vice Chairwoman Antonia Manibusan Tudela took the concept of homegrown workforce capacity building to the next level last week by introducing 17th Council No. 16SNMIC-06, requesting  Department of Public Lands Secretary Teresita Santos to designate certain parcels on Saipan for the proposed open concept farmers market under the auspices of the CNMI Farmers Organization in support of homegrown fresh food production locally.

Businesses and organizations in the community who are looking to expand their workforce with qualified students and graduates are invited to join the Northern Marianas College’s newest recruiting platform, Handshake.

More than 30 human resource professionals expanded their human resource management knowledge during last Thursday’s human resource basics training conducted by the CNMI Small Business Development Center at the Northern Marianas College.

Northern Marianas College continues its commitment to enhancing healthcare workforce capacity in the CNMI, with 20 students set to earn their certificate of completion from the College's nursing assistant training program. The program has graduated 78 other students in prior cohorts.

Northern Marianas College employees will be participating in professional development activities on Thursday, August 10, and Friday, August 11, 2023.
