Governor Arnold I. Palacios, in consultation with CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEM) and the National Weather Service (NWS Guam) Weather Forecast Office (WFO), has declared Typhoon Condition II for the islands of Saipan and Tinian, and maintained Typhoon Condition III for the island of Rota as of 2:00 p.m. today, October 9, 2023. Northern Marianas College School of Education alumni, Jiwon Rebekah Lee, was recently awarded the 2023 District Teacher of the Year at Jubilee Westwood in San Antonio, Texas. Lee, a fifth grade elementary school teacher, has also been recognized as Teacher of the Year for the past two consecutive academic years.
The Rota Small Business Development Center at Northern Marianas College, in partnership with Rota Chamber of Commerce, will be hosting “Brick & Mortar to Click & Order,” a seminar targeting current business owners looking to leverage social media to increase sales, expand operations, or to learn basic marketing tips to increase social media presence.
On September 20th, students, faculty, and staff of the Northern Marianas College and members of the community united in joining institutions across the globe to celebrate the 4th annual International Day of University Sports (IDUS) at the Oleai Sports Complex.
